Just a quick update: This is NOT the official review for Destined. It's supposedly the last book in the House of Night series which I look forward to purchasing and then reading. Just saying for anyone who has read the other books and hasn't realized this: Destined is out! Finally!
And by the way: Happy Halloween! =(^._.^)=

Bad Girls Don't Die by Katie Alender
Alexis is considered weird by everyone. But then again, her sister is pretty weird too. Kasey, Alexis' little sister, has become obsessed with an antique doll. It doesn't seem that important but after Kasey found the doll, weird things begin happening around their home. Even Kasey seems to be changing. Her eyes turn from blue to green, she talks all old-fashioned and her sweet personality changes to a much meaner one. Alexis seems to be the only one who can stop what's happening and save Kasey too.
There was a teensy bit of romance along the way and a whole ton of spooky moments. I totally loved this book! I was pulled in right away and was even quite terrified at some points. I loved everything involved with this book. There was also a second book, but it really isn't neccisary to read.
This book could be something read by boys or girls. I'd suggest it to those who like somewhat scary stories, strong relationships (like friendship and family) and things like that! But it's really good! Give it a chance!
I rate this book: 10/10

Frindle by Andrew Clements
Okay, so I usually don't like popular well known stories- actually, I don't read them at all. Like the Hunger Games or whatever. I mean yeesh! Maybe I should lie and say, "Omigod, I know right! I totaly read it and totally loved it!" Maybe then those book sharks will leave me alone.
Offtopic- alrighty! So, this was one of the few popular bookies that I enjoyed. Read it so long ago because, well, it's child's level. It inspired me. And was an awesome book. It's about a dude who decides to call pens "frindle" and his teacher seems against that.
This book could be for literally anyone. Though children's level, it is always a fun read.
Yes, so inspiring... I will make a new word too! From now on I'm calling the pencil: PEN- cil. Mwahahahaha....
I rate this book: 8/10

The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie
Wow. This book was pretty funny. I especially liked how it had pictures and cartoons. The story is actually really deep, sad, and touching. In it's own way. I've re-read the book a few times. Which is a good thing. I only re-read books that I REALLY liked even though yes- this book is not really what I'd call 10/10.
The book isn't really what I'd call mature but it's certainly not for kids. I mean, there's death, and being poor, all that sad boo-hooey stuff. But there are tough kids out there. The cartoons lighten things up a lot though. Everyone I know only read this book for school- I read it voluntarily and I have no idea why it's school material but whatever.
I rate this book 8/10

Peace, Love, and Baby Ducks by Lauren Myracle
What first got my attention was the cover and title. It seemed really cute! Well the book... is kind of weird and not quite on the baby cute side. This book was written by a best selling author if you didn't already know, but I don't think this book was a best seller.
It's about a girl named Carly and how her baby sister has turned, quote: "hot". She's used to being protective and watching over Anna, her sister, and Anna seems to be getting annoyed. There are all sorts of other little tidbits throughout the story but that's the gist of it.
Um... I enjoyed this book well enough but as I've said, it was weird for me. I guess this type of story just isn't for me. I'd recommend Peace, Love, and Baby Ducks to older teens (I think) who like romance. Like, seriously complicated romance...
I'd rate this book 7.5/10
