This was a pretty great book that I enjoyed reading. It took me a long time to finish though because I wasn't quite captured into the story. It is a really thick book and kind of, say, older content. I'm not really sure because I read it a while ago ^-^
It's a pretty sad story about abandoning and fitting in and such which really upset me a while ago- but the plot is very touching and the endings all happy and hopeful.
Anyways, I do recommend that you all read this book. And other Sarah Dessen novels. They're a little bit boring, but still pretty good.
I rate this book 7/10

Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty by Jody Gehrman
It's a really awesome story! The plot was kind of boring and confusing when I first started reading this book but I absolutely loved the ending.
It's the journal of a girl named Gina. The story's about when her cousin, Hero, comes to visit and all the events that follow. There's boy trouble, friend trouble- that kind of stuff.
There is a little bit of mature content so I'm assuming about ages 14 and up unless you are a pretty darn mature kiddo. I do recomend it for (mainly girls) people who are around the ages.
I rate this book... well, I had read this book once a long time ago. Then I would've rated it a 6/10 but over the summer, I read this book over again and I really liked it soo.... 8/10

Belle Teal by Ann M. Martin
This is a book that takes place right when kids of color were aloud to go to the school they lived closer to, a colored school or not, it's from the point of view of Belle Teal. Belle Teal is not a girl of color but she doesn't believe it is right to treat the kids who are any different than the kids who aren't. There are struggles between her and some other kids with different opinions in that school.
I really, really, really, really enjoyed this book. The plot was really attention grabbing and then ending was very well written. I would recommend this book to kids who are maybe 4th grade and up. It is not too difficult of a read.
From one to ten, with ten being the best, I would rate this book 8.9

Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
A really, truly, wonderful book. I loved the plot, loved the twists, loved the characters, loved the writing, all of it! I really liked the writing. It's first person and the writings kind of silly and casual, you can feel connected into the story by it. Yeah, it's a little on the girly side, but guys can enjoy this too! It's a kind of creepy, serious plot about paranormals dying suddenly and such. The point of view, as I said, is of a "normal" teenager so it's not that creepy while reading. Plus, there's tidbits of romance in between ;) I very highly recomend it to people but... I guess it depends on what you like.
I rate this a 10/10 !!!!

Chinese Cinderella by Adeline Yen Mah
I think Adeline Yen Mah wrote a couple of books with this title. The one I read was not fiction. And it wasn't Ancient china, but it was china so I'll put it under that lable. It's a good, but really sad story.
It can be for boys and girls, but if you can't handle how cruel people can be and stuff like that, don't read it.
I rate this book a 7/10

Blood Ninja by Nick Lake
I believe this story would fall in the fantasy/action category. I really enjoyed it. The detail was amazing and so was the story. It was pretty long though so if you only like short stories, this isn't such a good one. It's about a boy getting revenge and stuff. It has vampire ninjas and it's a kind of violent story? Vampires yes, but none of the chummy romance. It's for guys and girls though so no worries... unless you're squeamish.
There are a lot of twists in the story which makes Blood Ninja an exciting read. The ending is suspenseful, somewhat a cliff-hanger and not at all satisfying. I mean, this book COULD be 10/10 but I hated the ending SO BADLY! :P There is a second book though: Blood Ninja 2: Revenge of Lord Oda. I think that's what it's called. I haven't read the second yet. I do plan on reading it. The ending is not happy, it leaves you wanting to read the secondbook..... I guess that's the point! I looked online, supposedly the third book is coming out sometime soon.
I'd rate this book... 8/10

The Kissing Booth by Reekles
This was a book online at Wattpad.com I absolutely loved it! The writing is great and.... I just loved it. It's about a pretty good girl and a bad boy ending up falling in love. Classic. There are things that make this book so unique though, I reccomend it very highly. tee hees <3 This book is adorable! I enjoyed it the whole way through.
I reccomend it to girls who likes a good romance but I've seen guys read it too! But... rated pg-13 so older kids, like teens should be the ones reading.

The Help by Kathryn Stockett
I just spent most of the afternoon reading the last 200 pages of this book. It is wonderfully written and not the type of book that you can get bored in. When you're reading this book you get so focused on the current perspective and what's going on in that persons life that when the narrator switches you're disappointed that you have to leave the current narrator and their person life yet you're excited to finally be hearing about the next narrators personal life again. I highly recommend this book.
I would recommend this book especially to people who like to read realistic historical fiction books and to people who like to read the book that a movie was based on before they watch the movie.

The Cupcake Queen by Heather Hepler
I really enjoyed this book. If you're a hopeless romantic then you'll probably really enjoy the book. It keeps you guessing until the very end. The idea was interesting and definitely not something I would have come up with, it was different. I read it on a plane and it really made that trip enjoyable.
I would recommend this for you if you enjoy reading modern teenage romance.

I recommend that if you are given a list of books to read for school and you had to pick them, if this is an option, you should pick it. You really start to get into the characters and the building relationships and the journeys. The ending makes you satisfied yet you think about it and stuff.

All-American Girl by Meg Cabot
I really enjoyed this book. The plot and description are really well thought out and stuff. This is a story about a girl who thinks she's completely in love with her sister's boyfriend. She really enjoys art and her parents decide to make her take an art class. While waiting for her parents to pick her up one day, she see's someone try to assassin the president so she saves the president's life. The story's about everything that came with that.

Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli
An interesting idea for a plot. I personally did not like this book. I know that there are quite a few people who really liked this book. I was not one of them. I began to lose interest and stopped reading for a few months until something pushed me to start again. I finally finished the book. I was really interested in the beginning but I got a little distracted.
I, personally, wouldn't recommend this book, but I guess you might like it so read other reviews.

The Conch Bearer by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni
This is a story about a young boy, named Anand, who believed in magic when one day, he comes across it. He leaves on a journey to return the great conch to it's rightful place with a young girl named Nisha and an old man named Abadhyatta. The plot takes you through many different places to return the conch and maybe for Anand to return to his family.

Peter and the Shadow Thieves by Dave Berry and Ridley Pearson
The 2nd book in the Starcatcher series. I was captured by this book but not as captured as I was in the first book. The last couple of chapters really leave you on the edge of your chair or couch or whatever you're sitting on when you're reading this book. But I have to say that the only reason I didn't like this book as much as the first is because I didn't like one of the characters and was a little bit afraid of him...
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed reading the first book in this series.

Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Berry and Ridley Pearson
Wonderful story. You will be captured 'till the end! This story tells about the beginning of Peter Pan. I was captured by the plot the entire time and was curious to how it would all tie together in the end. I was on vacation while reading this book and I was so captured that I read at every chance I got. When I finished the book I wanted to read the second so bad that I went to a bookstore and ended up buying the whole series!

Rise of the Golden Cobra by Henry T. Aubin
I was not especially intrigued by this book because I had to read it for school. It's the journey of a young boy in ancient Egypt.
If you are fascinated by ancient times especially Egypt, then you may like this book but if you're like me then you may not enjoy is as much. It wasn't all that bad, I just wouldn't have read it on my free time.

The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine
This is the story of two princess sisters who are complete opposites. Meryl is brave and strong and dreams of battling all the creatures of Bamarre. Addie is timid and quieter and just wishes to stay at home while her sister is off on her own adventures. Ever since they were little they have been playing games where Princess Addie gets the Gray Death, a sickness that has been around for many, many years and can only be cured when cowards find courage and rain falls over Bamarre, and Meryl goes off to find the cure. Never once do they imagine that Princess Meryl would fall ill with the Gray Death and her only hope would be Princess Addie finding strength to find the cure.

The Doll People by Ann M. Martin and Laura Godwin
I really enjoyed reading this story about Annabelle Doll. In this book, Annabelle decides to break out of the ways of her family and explore Kate's room, and even the Palmers' house. She finds out that there is a new doll family in the house for Nora, Kate's younger sister. But Nora's dollies are modern and made out of plastic unlike the Doll Family who is antique and made out of china, not to mention over one hundred years old. This is the tale of her adventures.
I really enjoyed this book. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys fantasy novels. It is a lower level read so maybe would be good for advanced second graders to fifth graders. It's such a wonderful book.
On a scale from one to ten, with ten being the best, I would rate this book a 10.0

Loser by Jerry Spinelli
It was a good book? I think? I mean, I feel like I liked it, but I did not understand AT ALL. I was totally lost. I read this book in a book club at school. I believe the book won an award. Yay for Loser! I don't recall if it was a best seller though....
I think many people have read this story and enjoyed it. You could say I liked it, but if you asked me for a summary and stuff about the book, you'd hear crickets.
The writing kind of bored and confused me. All I really remember is something about mailmen, snowboarding and someone maybe dying. I mean, it seemed like they died, but they came back to life. Or was it a vision? AUGH. See? It fries my brain. If you disagree and understand the story, I will gladlly take tips and an explanation.
I don't know who should read this. Maybe I can try reading it again. Well, give it a chance, but I don't exactly reccomend it.
I rate this book a........ -.- a...... how do you rate a book that you can barely remember a single thing???? I'll just say 4/10. I feel bad. I'm very sorry

Eldest by Christopher Paolini
Everyone LOVES this book, and you have proabably either heard of it, or loved it yourself. Well yeah, popular, middle of a series, first book's a movie.... blah blah blah.
I hated it.
Okay, it's not THAT bad. The story was okay I guess, but it was taking me, like, months to finish. In the end it took me 4 years to read the ending, which was kind of interesting. I read the beginning, the ending. Not the middle. I mean, okay! It was good! It still bored me out of my wits. I have no idea why. If you've read the first book, I'm not saying you shouldn't read this one. But, if you're like me, it may be boring. to think I never gave up trying -.- Maybe it's 'cause I started in third grade...
Suggestion! Do NOT read fat, old, books at the third grade years. Go ahead and brag if you enjoyed the book in third grade though. This is just my review, and my opinion on books.
The book's definately still interesting though, anyone can go ahead and read it. You will just need patience to trudge through a slow beginning.
Amazon says the book is 3.5 out of 5 stars well...
I rate this 5/10 Good indeed, but boring.

A and D by Louisse C.
I LOVE THIS BOOK! You can purchase it online at smashword.com/books/view/80852
You will not regret it at all.
It's a typical setting, a nerd falling in love with their best friend- a jock.
Even so, A and D is so dang amazing and unique and awesome! I recommend it to anyone really, but I bet mainly girls would like it -.- But it's also listed as teen fiction. Yeah, not for little kids.
I was so sad when the book was over, but I'm really happy, it was amazing. The book was kind of based on Taylor Swift's song "You Belong With Me". There's a bunch of different trailors for it too if you dig around. You can always read the story on Wattpad.com (her user name is fallenbabybubu) but if you purchase the story, you get to read deleted chapters, special chapters, that kinda stuff.
Anyways, whatever you do, I so absoulutey say you have to at least try reading it! Anyone!
I rate this book a 50/10!!!!!! Seriously! It's so awesome! :) Wait... Maybe not. It was a little too typical -.- say, around 10/10 :)

Enchanted Ivy by Sarah Beth Durst
Enchanted Ivy is a story set around Princeton University. The main character, Lily Carter really wants to attend the school. She is told that she can join Princeton if she takes the Legacy Test. She has to find out what the Ivy key is, and then find it. While taking the test, she finds weird things like talking gargoyles and more.
Yes, a formal summery of the story. Anyways! It's a really good book that I loved and finished really quickly! I highly suggest it. The main character was kind of dense at first, and that kind of ticked me off. There were other things that annoyed me as well. Even so, I still loved it. I especially loved Tye, someone Lily meets along the way. He's my favorite character. Oh yeah, there was a little bit of romance but not so much, so I won't count it as the genre. Well... I think this book can be a read for anyone :)
I rate this book... say.... um.... 8/10 I guess

We'll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han
We'll Always Have Summer is a third book in the Summer series and it's the last book. I sugest reading the first two before this one.
The first book is The Summer I Turned Pretty
The second book is It's Not Summer Without You
I really liked all three of these books, they were really good. It's about a girl, Belly and her life around the summer house. It's a romance I guess between her and this guy, Conrad. I can't tell you much of a detailed summery on the third book without ruining the first but I really reccommend it! I mainly reccomend this to those who love a sweet, undying romance.

Sister's of the Sword: Journey Through Fire by Maya Snow
The third book to the Sister's of the Sword series. I still really liked this book like the others. It was good, kept me on my toes and I was very into it. Starting the book off, I couldn't exactly get into the story. I did eventually though.
There were certain parts in the book that absolutely devastated me though. I know it can't be perfect but I hate misunderstandings, cruel people, betrayers, that kind of stuff. It just makes me really upset.
I'm still happy with the book but I'm sad with how some things ended up. I found myself constantly not wanting to read anymore because one character was so mean and cold or something like that. It just pisses me off. I didn't regret reading it though, and sometimes I do regret reading some sequels and such.
Very highly suggest only those who've read the first and second book read this one.
I rate this a 9/10

Sister's of the Sword: Chasing the Secret by Maya Snow
This story was still pretty good. I was so excited when I found it, but I couldn't quite get into it. I was already so satisfied with book one (Sister's of the Sword). I mean, the whole plot wasn't exactly solved at the end of book one but I still think the sequel wasn't neccesary. If you want, you never have to even read this book, but I still do suggest it.
This book is for anyone who read the first. It would be terrible to read it before the first.

Sister's of the Sword by Maya Snow
I loved this book through and through. The plot was pretty thick and all the events were exciting. I absolutely loved it. It's about a girl, Kimi, and her sister, Hana, avenging their father and older brother who was killed by their now evil uncle. It was such an awesome read. I didn't even read the summary. I read one sentence- and I was hooked. It's an unforgettable experience.
The writing is actually very good. There is a second and third book too, and there might even be a fourth. I don't know. I do think that this one was the best out of all three so far.
This book can be for both boys and girls of any age.Well.... there is violence. I was told by my teacher it was fifth grade level.... I was very offended. The level doesn't matter though. The story itself was absolutely wonderful. Highly reccomend.
I rate this a 10/10 ! Maybe even higher! I don't know!

A Need So Beautiful by Suzanne Young
This book seems pretty cool, the summary caught me so I checked it out. I hadn't read it yet, but the more I thought about it, the less I wanted to read the book. I mean, it's about a girl who feels the urge to help people and then her friends misunderstand- that kinda stuff. Goodness, I hate misunderstandings -.-
In the end I started reading because I needed a book to read. It was really good! The story's cool and so's the writing. It did get kind of upsetting though as I moved on. There were more misunderstandings, upsetting things about changing -bleh.
I couldn't help but read the end before the beginning. The ending was happy and wonderful. I loved it. But then there was the epilogue. Oh, the epilogue! It. Ruined. The. Whole. Thing. It was like, totally depressing, disappointing, not satisfying at all. I wish I just didn't read the after. I don't really want to finish the book now. I mean, it was good, but kinda annoying anyway.
I rate this 6/10

I couldn't help but read the end before the beginning. The ending was happy and wonderful. I loved it. But then there was the epilogue. Oh, the epilogue! It. Ruined. The. Whole. Thing. It was like, totally depressing, disappointing, not satisfying at all. I wish I just didn't read the after. I don't really want to finish the book now. I mean, it was good, but kinda annoying anyway.
I rate this 6/10

The House of Night Series by P.C. and Kristen Cast
Marked
Betrayed
Chosen
Untamed
Hunted
Tempted
Burned
Awakened
and the next book coming up November 2011: Destined
It's rumored that might be the last book! I reccomend it all! The book is based on vampyres (in this book it is spelled like that, NOT vampires) where turning into one is like... puberty. Hahahaha.... except if you don't make it, you die. I loved this series so I'll just do a review of them all. The thing is, the most recent books, tidbits of small, yet important things happen but it's all basically the same. "Oh no, bad guy on the loose! What to do... what to do...." etc. It's kind of boring me, like the authors are dragging out the story longer. I still love the series and can't wait for the next book to come out though and it should make an awesome read. It is a mature story though. I think it should be ages 14 and up.
Put together, I rate this whole series a 8.5/10

Inkheart by Cornelia Funke
This is such a great book! I enjoyed reading it the whole way. I wasn't so sure about reading the book at first but once I started, I was really pulled in. There were some tidbits of the story where things upset me, like something gone wrong. But that's life right? It can't be perfect and issues always rise to the surface. There are three books to the series but I'm satisfied so I decided to not read the rest.
This book can be for anyone, any age. It is kind of fat though so maybe... fourth grade and up?
I rate this a 8/10

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
Hannah Baker moved and never really fit in at her new school. There were always rumors about her going around, no one knew which ones were true. Except her. Before she killed herself she made tapes. They tell the story of why she decided to end her life. Each tape has a person and a reason. From the point of view of Clay, one of the recipients of the tapes.
I really, really, really liked this book. It was very well written. The book was sad and really caught my attention. It has some more mature scenes so maybe this is better for mature 6th graders, and up.
From one to ten, with ten being the best, I would rate this book a 9.9 if not a 10.0
